10 Days of Art, Music, and Awareness-Raising About PTSD

The festival will open to the public on Friday the 4^th, allowing people to explore our many PTSD resources, the art exhibits, and hunt for gifts. The Official Opening Ceremony will kick off on Saturday. The event will feature art and music luminaries. A Sponsor Showcase, sims-wide treasure hunt, and online eBay auction of rare/limited edition/collectible/signed art and books are scheduled throughout the festival. FREE and OPEN to the Public, the music performances will be broadcast live over the Internet.

The event will include:

·        A Sim-Wide Art Exhibit: Some of SL’s finest artists, notably Eliza Wierwight of Patron Galleria and Emporium, will be exhibiting breathtaking art installations to walk through and experience.

·        World Class DJs Mixing Live: Spinning original mixes live from every corner of the globe, with Hosts at the top of their field in getting the crowd dancing and cheering. Genres such as Trance, House, HardHouse, Techno, TripHop, and more will be represented with original mixing from the most dynamic DJs

·        International Musicians-Singers-Songwriters Perform Live: Daily concerts by some of today’s most gifted musician, performing originals and their own take on covers. Headliner Jordan Reyne will open for the musicians and singers representing a wide range of genres from folk, blues, rock, country, funk, rap, hiphop, soul and more.

·        The Fearless Showcase: Sponsors will have an opportunity to sell and show their products, services and causes. Some of the most talented 3-D virtual technology creators, builders, scriptors, educators, nonprofits, businesses and programmers will be displaying their creations, offerings and services.

·        A Sims-Wide Hunt: Starting at our virtual PTSD Library and Gallery, hunt enthusiasts will search for hunt items filled with free gifts and clues to the location of the next treasure. Taking hunters across our beautiful sims to each area of our PTSD retreat (normally closed to the public) to see our educational hubs and healing environments.

·        Online eBay Auction: During the event we will be holding an auction on rare/limited edition/collectible/signed art, comics and graphic novels, and other items from graphic artists and famous novelists such as Clive Barker, Peter Straub, Delirium Books, and more.

All proceeds and activities benefit Fearless Nation PTSD Support, a 501c3 NonProfit Charity Organization providing FREE education, support and advocacy for people with PTSD, and their families, children, caregivers and communities.

FEARLESS NATION PTSD SUPPORT

Fearless Nation PTSD Support is a 501c3 and 509(a)(1) and (2) organization as determined by the IRS, meaning that we are a publicly supported charity (not a “private foundation”) and an exempt purpose activity-supported charity.

·        That means we depend on donations, grants, and sponsorships to serve the public.

·        We are not allowed to make a “profit” or enrich ourselves in any way through the support we receive. That is the law under which a 501c3 charity must conduct itself.

·        All financial reporting is a matter of public record.

·        Our legal Mission is to Provide Education and Raise Awareness About PTSD To Banish Stigma and Misinformation

·        All our services and materials are FREE to the public

·        We are putting Virtual World Technology to work In trauma recovery, and this technology incurs costs

Because Fearless Nation is a Not-For-Profit Organization, we are tasked with achieving our mission to provide FREE education and awareness-raising events to the public about PTSD such as this one. The challenge we face in meeting this goal is in raising money for these events—and making them “break-even” in costs.

In return we do our part to promote your business, service or interest, so that you feel you are getting value for your contribution—while helping trauma survivors, their children, spouses, families and communities.
