nowhere else, and it deserves support for standing up for all people with
PTSD."

provided by Fearless Nation PTSD Support.
About the artwork, “CREDITS .B.” (2009)
Fitzpatrick created this work as a symbolic template for a
new world currency, using symbols to commemorate the events and mistakes that
have led us to today. Mother Earth watches over her planet while a
credit-crunched banker hangs in the balance. Other symbols (including the NYC
World Trade Center Towers) address issues such as the environment, humanity and
regeneration.
About the Artist: Glenn Fitzpatrick
This army veteran has taken his experiences and created art.
Having served his country in the Queen’s Royal Irish Hussars, and the Gulf War
(Kuwait Liberation Campaign, 1990-1991), he recounts his experiences in his
graphic novel, Arts and Mines (http://www.aerocomm.aero/arts&Mines.php).
Glenn, or “Fitzy” as he is called, offers a life story with a unique and
compelling perspective on a period of recent history and throws into stark
relief the difficulties faced by ex-servicemen. He tells his story with wit and
honesty, showing how art can offer a way to channel the pain caused by the
experience of war.
His work has been exhibited in several galleries, most
recently the Rive Bar Gallery in Gravesend, Kent.
A leader and trailblazer in PTSD advocacy, Glenn shows the
world that through the transformative power of art, people can take tough
experiences and find beauty and grace. Seeing people with trauma as Symbols of
Society, his work informs and inspires us to overcome trauma.
